Tierra de Lobos Winery is located in Dallesport Washington and it's run by two wolves: Adolfo and Gabino, and we do absolutely everything by ourselves. From growing our own grapes all the way to bottling everything is done by hand.
The winery building it's a 500sqf converted garage, which at it's peak, it can store up to 3,000 gallons! (You have to get creative)
It's a lot of work to make wine, but at the end of the day, it's a very rewarding job to do. Harvest can be particularly exhausting but all the memories of the long working days are quickly forgotten once we start to sample the end result, and then, we're ready to do all over again!
Our business depends on the land and while we're not certified organic, we do not use any chemical pesticides or fungicides in our vineyards. And that's what Tierra signifies in our name: a reference to the terroir that makes this area ideal for growing grapes and a reminder to respect the land that we, and other animals, depend on.
Our 12-acre estate vineyard consists of Cabernet Franc, Malbec, Barbera, Tempranillo, Petit Verdot, Syrah and Muscat Canelli. Our growing season typically starts in early to mid April and runs through end of October.
Great grapes will make a great wine and at Tierra de Lobos, we love showcasing the true characters and flavors of the grapes and so we aim to make wines as purely as possible.
Just like wolves, Tierra De Lobos is about being social and our wines are our contribution to making people's lives a little happier!
Currently we don't yet have a tasting room and all of our tastings and sales are done at farmer's markets and special events. If you're interested in trying our wines, please check our calendar and join us at our next tasting event.
